Applause Guitars combine roundback technology, professional features and extreme value to create beautiful sounding, easy playing acoustic and acoustic/electric guitars and basses.

If you've been thinking about trying a roundback acoustic, this is a great place to start, especially if you're used to a full-size acoustic.

They applied 30-odd years of Ovation guitarmaking innovation to design an affordable guitar that doesn't sound like an affordable guitar. The Summit Series is proof of that. These guitars boast a bigger sound that guitars costing twice as much. In large part that's due to the Lyrachord body -- the same U.S.A. made body found on it's upscale Ovation brothers. Its roundback shape capitalizes insides of sound-deadening bracing that traditional-style guitars require.

The dovetail heel/neck joint allows the neck angle to be accurately and permanently set at the factory. The ThruNeck design offers a more playable, stable neck and supports the fingerboard into the guitar body. The neck is truss adjustable and made of mahogany with a rosewood fingerboard. Birch marquetry rosette trim. Walnut bridge is shimmed for easy string-action adjustment. The CP-100 Thin-Line piezoelectric pickups, on the acoustic-electric models, are mounted directly beneath the saddle for more accurate sound reproduction.
